We start with Marie, showing how she guides us through a layout and shows us a video.

I start finding a paper, I might not use due. color or pattern.

I put masking tape on different places to create a little texture.

Then I paint gesso on. Let it dry, or use a heat gun.

I put a lot of different kinds “splatter” mit more PAPIR. Both spray mists and acrylic paint, I have thinned with water.

Watch the video here, how Marie does with paint splat

painter flat

Let dry or use heat gun again. I then made a little different locations. I have an old sewing machine, that do not work so well, it is perfect for this.

I also use a little stamps.

The letters are træbogstaver, where I have first embosse, then black ink on the edges and finally glitter Stickles little spread around with a brush.

Next, all backgrounds finished, and I can now make my layout finished.

Katherine is right in his element in this article. Look at an amazing layouts.

Katherine writes: I love artsy layouts. Jeg synes det er så super fedt at kunne ændre sine baggrunde eller lave sine helt egne, fit for both decoration and image.
For this layout I started to experiment with color without thinking about, whatever that would end with. The paper is from My Minds Eye and I have lost the top of a brick template. Additionally I have lost with white color on tissuetape, where I have spent puncinella as template. I've been playing with gesso and alcohol ink in a cold green and silver color.
Knapperne har jeg mistet og givet lidt sølv alkohol ink. In order to soften the cold look up a bit, I used a pink glitter in contrast.

As you can see can be many things artsy and used on small details or the entire layout. I urge to play with it and have fun. Have wet wipes within reach.
